About Corinne

I grew up in the small town of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, but I have lived in Ottawa since 1998.  I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle including hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding/skiing, and ultimate frisbee.   In addition, I have practiced many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, breakdancing and of course, pole dancing.  I have always had a passion for dance, and when pole dancing became regarded as a form of exercise, I saw it as a great opportunity to offer women in Ottawa this fun, sensual, and challenging workout.

In 2001, I graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.  I have worked in the private and public sectors in accounting and finance.  However, I was never quite satisfied with any of my jobs, and decided I needed to make a career change and pursue my passion.  I have been teaching pole dancing since May 2007, and I am a Certified Fitness Instructor with Can-Fit-Pro.

About Andrea

I was born and raised in Timmins, a small town in Northern Ontario.  I moved to Ottawa for school in 2001.  I have a degree in Criminology and in Psychology and am currently pursuing studies in the area of social services.  While I do have a passion for helping others, I also have a passion for fitness and dance.  I have a background in dance and have thirteen years experience in ballet and jazz.  I became interested in fitness while in university and discovered I love weightlifting. I am fully certified through Can-Fit-Pro as a Personal Trainer Specialist and I'm looking forward to obtaining further fitness certifications.

I began taking pole dancing lessons in September 2007 and loved this new way to keep in shape.  I began hosting pole parties, with Corinne's teaching and guidance in the summer of 2008.  I love how every party has its unique energy and love teaching the moves to new people! Together we will have lots of fun!

About Lyne

I was born and raised in Gatineau, Quebec. I’m married, with 2 teenage daughters.  I became interested in pole dancing 4 years ago while watching Oprah. The show that day was about pole dancing. Women of different ages and body types demonstrated and spoke about what pole dancing had done for them.  Many of the women said pole dancing brought them more than just a great way to get fit; it gave them self confidence, and self worth. It also gave them an opportunity to do something for themselves, and a place where they could exercise in a women-only environment.

After the show I thought to myself, since my children are well into their teens now, I need to do something for me.  I need to get fit, and I don't feel comfortable going to a gym.  After doing some research I found a course for pole dancing. I needed to take some time out of my weekly routine to take care of myself, so I signed up!

Well here I am 4 years later and a pole dancing instructor! Now at 40 years old, I’m 20 pounds lighter, and in the best mental and physical shape of my life!

This could be you! Come join me and start your own personal journey!

About Sharrie

I grew up in the seaside resort town of Brighton, England. In 1989 I moved to Canada. I am married with two children and two cats. I love being outdoors, playing in the dirt, walking, hiking, and photography.

I joined a gym about 3 years ago to get my mojo back after being a stay at home mom. Even though I still enjoyed going to the gym, I was feeling the plateau of the same old workout, and had been for a while. A friend of mine introduced me to pole dancing in early 2009, and I haven't looked back since. As a regular at the gym, I thought that a pole dance class would be a piece of cake. Boy was I surprised! Pole dancing is an intense, rewarding way to work out. I have learned that I love to hang upside down, amongst other things! This class will make you laugh, challenge your ideas of what you think you are physically capable of, and give your confidence a boost through the roof! Since taking the class for myself, my body has changed significantly, and continues to. I never imagined I would be comfortable wearing booty shorts, and looking forward to dress up day at pole dance class quite as much as I do. Having firm triceps isn't so bad either! Pole dancing has fueled my enjoyment for fitness, and thanks to Corinne's coaching I now am able to teach others something I love! I am excited to share this passion with you and I look forward to seeing you in class!

About Tina

I was born and raised in Ottawa. In 2007 I graduated from Queen's University. I am now married and becoming an Environmental Geological Engineer. I have always loved exercise. I trained in gymnastics for 8 years, and then learned a variety of types of dance, such as jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip-hop over the next 9 years. I discovered pole dancing in Ottawa when I attended Sexaplooza in 2009. The whole idea of a fun, flirty, girls only way of exercising got me hooked.

I began taking Corinne's class with a friend in February 2009, and have been in love with it since the first five minutes! My friends even threw me a pole party for my bachelorette in August 2009. It was an amazing way to loosen everyone up, and get everyone excited for the big night out! I love that pole dancing gives my body a great workout, and my strength and flexibility continue to improve. I look forward to seeing you in my classes, and getting you as excited about pole dancing as I am!
