I grew up in the small town of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, but I have lived in Ottawa since 1998. I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle including hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding/skiing, and ultimate frisbee. In addition, I have practiced many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, breakdancing and of course, pole dancing. I have always had a passion for dance, and when pole dancing became regarded as a form of exercise, I saw it as a great opportunity to offer women in Ottawa this fun, sensual, and challenging workout.
In 2001, I graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. I have worked in the private and public sectors in accounting and finance. However, I was never quite satisfied with any of my jobs, and decided I needed to make a career change and pursue my passion. I have been teaching pole dancing since May 2007, and I am a Certified Fitness Instructor with Can-Fit-Pro.
I was born and raised in Timmins, a small town in Northern Ontario. I moved to Ottawa for school in 2001. I have a degree in Criminology and in Psychology and am currently pursuing studies in the area of social services. While I do have a passion for helping others, I also have a passion for fitness and dance. I have a background in dance and have thirteen years experience in ballet and jazz. I became interested in fitness while in university and discovered I love weightlifting. I am fully certified through Can-Fit-Pro as a Personal Trainer Specialist and I'm looking forward to obtaining further fitness certifications.
I began taking pole dancing lessons in September 2007 and loved this new way to keep in shape. I began hosting pole parties, with Corinne's teaching and guidance in the summer of 2008. I love how every party has its unique energy and love teaching the moves to new people! Together we will have lots of fun!
I was born and raised in Gatineau, Quebec. I have 2 teenage daughters. I became interested in pole dancing 6 years ago while watching Oprah. The show that day was about pole dancing. Women of different ages and body types demonstrated and spoke about what pole dancing had done for them. Many of the women said pole dancing brought them more than just a great way to get fit; it gave them self confidence, and self worth. It also gave them an opportunity to do something for themselves, and a place where they could exercise in a women-only environment.
After the show I thought to myself, since my children are well into their teens now, I need to do something for me. I need to get fit, and I don't feel comfortable going to a gym. After doing some research I found a course for pole dancing. I needed to take some time out of my weekly routine to take care of myself, so I signed up!
Well here I am 6 years later and a pole dancing instructor! Now in my forties, I’m 20 pounds lighter, and in the best mental and physical shape of my life! This could be you! Come join me and start your own personal journey!
Update: Lyne placed 1st in the Masters Division, (age 40+), at the 2012 Ontario Pole Fitness Championships! She went on to place 4th at the 2012 Canadian Pole Fitness Championships!
About Tina
I was born and raised in Ottawa. In 2007 I graduated from Queen's University. I am now married and becoming an Environmental Geological Engineer. I have always loved exercise. I trained in gymnastics for 8 years, and then learned a variety of types of dance, such as jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip-hop over the next 9 years. I discovered pole dancing in Ottawa when I attended Sexaplooza in 2009. The whole idea of a fun, flirty, girls only way of exercising got me hooked.
I began taking Corinne's class with a friend in February 2009, and have been in love with it since the first five minutes! My friends even threw me a pole party for my bachelorette in August 2009. It was an amazing way to loosen everyone up, and get everyone excited for the big night out! I love that pole dancing gives my body a great workout, and my strength and flexibility continue to improve. I look forward to seeing you in my classes, and getting you as excited about pole dancing as I am!
About Sheena
I grew up in the rural farm town of Seeley's Bay near Kingston. I moved to Ottawa for university in 2003. I have a Baccalaureate in Communications from the University of Ottawa, and a Journalism Diploma from Algonquin College. I enojoy swimming, hiking and snowbarding. As a young child I took dance classes, including ballet, jazz, and tap. However, that ended in elementary school.
I learned about pole dancing at my cousin Tina's bachelorette party in August 2009. Back then I was out of shape and very self-conscious about my body. I had started working out at home but was having trouble staying motivated. I had an amazing time at the bachelorette party. It was a relaxing and fun atmosphere, and Corinne was very positive and encouraging. Although I was very nervous at first, over the course of the party I loosened up, and when it was time for my "solo" I had a lot of fun with it. I don't remember everything I did, all I remember is I ended it by tossing my hat at Tina in a "seductive" manner. I was also amazed at how athletic pole dancing is, and how much strength is required to pull off the advanced tricks Corinne and Tina showed us. I never thought I would be able to do that. After mentioning the party to a friend, she suggested we sign up for classes. We did in Septmeber 2009, and I haven't looked back. Pole has been an amazing experience for me, and is helping me get into shape. Since I started, I've lost over 20 pounds and have gained a lot of strength and confidence. I encouage everyone to try it! No matter how shy you are, trust me! I hope you sign up for my class, and I will strive to give you the same great experience I've had.
About Caroline
I was born and grew up in rural Ottawa. I graduated from Algonquin College in 2005, and currently work as a Manager and Design Consultant. I love hiking, climbing and just being outdoors. I have always had a love for dancing, and some of my favourite stories from when I was younger revolve around me embarrassing my mother when I stopped to "break it down"; to whatever song was playing in the shopping mall. At family occasions and celebrations, I could be found with my cousins stomping out a tune on the dance floor. My high school offered dance classes as a course, and I took full advantage of this, taking it every year I was there and even taking two grades in my final year.
In the past couple of years I had been looking into courses offered in the area for dance. I had heard of pole dancing as it became more popular, but hadn't found a location that suited what I was looking for. In January 2010 I attended Sexapalooza and was immediately drawn in by lovely ladies showing their best skills on the pole at 3Sixty's booth. I signed up for the email, found out about an open house, attended, and I've been hooked ever since. I love pole dancing because it isn't your typical everyday workout. You often use muscles you didn't know existed and it really does work your full body. I love the sense of accomplishment when you perfect a move, and I enjoy being able to feel sexy even when I'm sweating buckets. I can't wait to meet you all and share my passion!
About Celina
Born and raised in Ottawa, I'm a city girl with a love for the great outdoors. Travelling to Kenya and Tanzania in 2011, I summated Mt. Meru at over 15,000 feet. That same summer, I explored the Canadian west coast and experienced surfing for my first time in Tofino, B.C. However, the vibrant culture, and beautiful friends I've made here in Ottawa are what keep bringing me back home.
Pursuing a career as a Social Service Worker, I love bringing joy and fun to everyday moments. Laughter is contagious, and if you don't watch out, I just might pass it on to you in one of my classes!
I slowly began pole dancing at home in 2009. However, I was missing out on the fun and encouragement of a group atmosphere. 3Sixty gives me this and so much more! With no formal training in dance, I am a great example of how pole fitness can be learned by anyone, at any age, regardless of fitness level or dance background.
True happiness for me is passing on the passion for pole!
;)
About Tracy
I was born and raised in Ottawa. I have always had a love for sports and outdoor adventure! It’s very rare to see me sitting down reading a book! From hockey to scuba diving, white water canoeing to rock climbing, I’m always doing something!
I took a level one pole class many years ago and was quite frustrated (but determined) because I wasn't much of a dancer. I decided I’d buy a pole and teach myself! So a few years went by and only a little bit of pole here and there. Corinne emailed me looking for instructors! I took this as a great opportunity to really get back into pole dancing and push myself to learn, grow confidence, and have fun. This is one of the healthiest, most rewarding experiences ever! I’ve lost 12lbs and am in better shape than when I was playing competitive hockey! It’s a blast seeing ladies develop and grow through the levels! I truly believe that every woman should give this a shot!
